Play Facilitator Certification (February 2026)

Barometer XP is a leading voice in play-based learning and facilitation. Our mission is to help leaders and practitioners bring energy, engagement, and effectiveness back into the workplace by tapping into the science (and magic) of play.

Our signature Play-Based Training Series is a choose-your-own professional development adventure that aims to equip participants with games and experiential learning as powerful methods for connection, collaboration and innovation. Whether you're an internal or external practitioner, this is an opportunity to level up your toolset.

Welcome to the Play Facilitator Certification

This interactive certification is a cohort-based, multi-day professional learning experience designed for facilitators, L&D and HR professionals, coaches, educators, consultants, and changemakers who believe play belongs in serious work. Across three live sessions (11:00–3:30 ET each day), participants will learn alongside a small peer cohort through hands-on games, guided reflection, and facilitation practice rooted in real-world scenarios.

The training includes:

Orientation – Join a peer cohort, access the full curriculum, and explore a curated library of play-based resources

Live Sessions – Learn the science of play through immersive games, structured reflection, and applied facilitation practice

Self-Assessment – Complete the certification through a one-on-one conversation with a trainer to synthesize takeaways and identify next steps

By the end of the training, certified Play Facilitators will be able to:

• Select intentional games for any scenario using the Barometer XP framework

• Design and set up play engagements for maximum impact

• Bridge the thought–action gap through meaningful game debriefs

• Confidently use the Barometer XP game library and facilitation guides

The experience includes a 3-month trial into our Community of Practice, full access to our Play Concierge platform, and an invitation to become an official partner who can lead trainings and earn revenue using our materials.

Becoming a certified Play Facilitator means joining a thoughtful, creative community committed to doing serious work—playfully and responsibly. In a world where engagement is fragile and complexity is the norm, this certification equips you not just to run better activities, but to lead better conversations, learning experiences, and change. Barometer XP also offers monthly thematic 4-hour leader workshops and a 50-hour mastery track for deeper partnership.
